01 / SUPPORTED RANGE
CONTROL · COMFORT · FEEDBACK
02
ONE APPOINTMENT · TWO WAYS OF WORKING

Release tension. Explore range. Recheck.

The appointment can move between hands-on massage and supported movement. Each stage remains open to your feedback.

01
RELEASE

Prepare the area

Massage work may be used first to respond to the areas and pressure preferences discussed with you.

02
MOVE

Explore supported range

Your therapist guides a controlled stretch while you stay able to comment, adjust or stop.

03
RECHECK

Notice what changed

The session can pause, revisit an area or alter the plan according to how the movement feels.

03
WHAT THE SESSION MAY INCLUDE

A treatment that moves with you.

Not every appointment uses every technique. The useful mix depends on your priorities, comfort, consent and the therapist’s training.

RANGE
01

Targeted massage work

Hands-on work can focus on the areas and pressure preferences agreed at the start.

02

Supported assisted stretching

A limb or area may be guided through a comfortable range while your feedback sets the boundary.

03

Position and pace changes

The therapist can adjust support, position, tempo or the sequence when something does not feel right.

04

Ongoing check-ins

You can ask for more, less, a pause, another approach or a stop at any point.

04
CONTROL IS PART OF THE TREATMENT

Stretch should feel guided—not forced.

A supported stretch can feel noticeable, but you should remain able to breathe, speak and ask for a change. Your therapist cannot feel what you feel; clear feedback is useful treatment information.

KEEP GOING

Comfortable tension

A steady stretch or mild tension that feels manageable and remains easy to discuss.

ADJUST NOW

Sharp or unusual sensation

Tell the therapist immediately about sharp pain, pinching, tingling, numbness, dizziness or feeling unwell.

TELL US FIRST

Context changes the plan

Mention recent injury or surgery, health conditions, pregnancy, mobility limits or medical advice before treatment.

This service is not a diagnosis or a substitute for medical care. If you are unsure whether massage or assisted stretching is suitable for you, contact the clinic and follow advice from your treating health professional.

05
WHO MAY CHOOSE IT

For days when stillness is not the whole answer.

This option may appeal when you want massage plus guided movement in the same appointment. Suitability is discussed individually.

MOVE
01

Desk-heavy days

You prefer a session that can alternate hands-on work with supported movement after long periods in one position.

02

Training recovery

You want to discuss activity, preferred pressure and guided range as part of a recovery-focused appointment.

03

Several loaded areas

You want the therapist to move between areas, positions and techniques instead of following one fixed routine.

04

Movement-based care

You simply prefer an appointment that includes active feedback and a guided movement component.

06
SERVICE UPDATE

Assisted Stretching is coming soon.

Pricing, appointment lengths and online booking details will be published when the service is ready. Call the clinic if you would like an update before launch.

HICAPS is not automatic. A rebate may only apply when the appointment is booked as an eligible remedial service with a qualified remedial therapist and your cover allows it.

07
GOOD TO KNOW

Clear expectations help you stay in control.

You do not need to diagnose yourself or know your ideal range before arriving. Bring useful context, preferences and questions.

01

Do I need to be flexible?

No. The therapist works with the range and comfort you have on the day. The aim is not to force a particular position.

02

Should assisted stretching hurt?

No. A stretch may feel noticeable, but sharp pain, pinching, tingling, numbness or feeling unwell are reasons to stop and tell the therapist immediately.

03

Is every session the same?

No. The massage work, stretches, positions, pace and time spent on each area can change according to your priorities and feedback.

04

Can I claim through HICAPS?

Not automatically. Eligibility depends on whether you book an eligible remedial service, the treating practitioner and your health-fund cover.

05

Is this physiotherapy or a medical assessment?

No. It is a massage and assisted-stretching service. It does not diagnose conditions or replace advice and care from your medical or allied-health practitioner.
